AppleInsider has this article on the expected release of Apple's X-SAN, their Storage Area Network software that is much less expensive than alternative technologies.

The 64-bit cluster file system for Mac OS X will enable organizations to consolidate storage resources and provide multiple computers with concurrent file-level read/write access to shared volumes over Fibre Channel.

Um, yeah, whatever. What we care about is high speed shared access to to an Apple X-RAID and the video files it covetously holds for us. Video frames. Ah, precious, precious video frames. My precious....
