Down Time

Buried in work, some very sucky, sucky things going on as well, blogging shall recommence, I'm just in no mood for it right now.

HD4NDs news tomorrow. Probably.

Comments:
Hope the sucky things get less sucky.

Keep smiling.....if you can.....

All the best

Dito!
Mike, you really shouldn't feel obligated to apologize for not posting. We all really appreciate your work here and have every possible understanding that 99% of all business and personal issues have a higher priority.

it is helpful to know you are off line - but no explanation necessary!

I hope the bad stuff goes away and good stuff happens, man.

hang in their, friend. we CERTAINLY appreciate you. not just for the knowledge - which is the BEST - but for the passion and panache with which it's delivered. cheers.

well, for a while I thought you were a machine or a very very smart application - able to blog and blog 24/7
I't's good to know you're human just like the rest of us..
I hope the sucky things goes away quickly.
But come back to us - we miss you
e.

Hey Mike,

Take your time. I agree with everyone else's posts, we'll all still be here when you feel like posting again. Life first, blog second, or third or fourth.

Ditto!

...it's so funny!! for a while, I thought he was a machine too! hmmmm... maybe half man / half machine ;)

Hang in there man.
And come back to your fans when you can.
We do miss you.

We can rebuild him. We have the technology.

He'll be bahk...

I miss him sooo....
Maybe the Sony, Microsoft, and AVID mafia killed him?

Wishing you well during the rough times.

Texans in L.A. wishing you well.

Getting withdrawals ...

Wow - Over a week now and not a peep. Very unlike Mike. I hope that things are going OK for you Mike. I know a lot of us are concerned for you.

Mike, hope you're getting everything sorted out. We miss you! Plus, Apple made the announcement of the home theater Mac you've been rhapsodizing about! (ok, so no movie delivery yet, but it's that much closer than it was yesterday)

Don't worry about the down time, I realize that this is pro bono blogging for the most part and while I am grateful for what you do post... I don't expect or demand that you produce your well considered rumnations with metronomic consistancy.

I'm a fan of the site and will check back every day or few for when you do start up again. Until then I guess I'll just have to surf more and think more...

Mike please at least verify that you are all right

We're all hoping that things turn around for you. We miss you!

Don't know how often you all reload Mike's front page, but I do it more often than I'd like to admit, and I caught a post that was pulled very quickly after it went up and right before he went silent.

I don't want to get him into any more trouble than he's probably already in, but if you think about what we were looking forward to seeing that never showed up, who that might hurt and put two and two together, I think we can surmise that pissing off corporate bullies can be hazardous to a blogger's health. Good luck, Mike!

Hey all -

thanks VERY much for all the good wishes - it warms my heart greatly under frustrating circumstances to know folks out there care.

My health is fine, my business world is not and I'm trying to fix it as best I can.

I'll be back as soon as I can get my world back in order.

-mike the blogger

Good luck Mike; I know the feeling. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all make films and never have to worry about the business side of it? At any rate, I wish you well. As someone who reads HDforIndies daily, I really miss your posts.

Mike,

Hang in there, bro. You're probably your hardest critic. If anything, the community you've netted together is mightily beholden to you - for your vision, sense of timing, guidance and delivery. I add my .02 in wishing you the best of good fortune in sorting out of the hard times. The turnaround will come, and probably with hidden blessings, so when you're able we'll be ready and looking forward.

All the best,

David

The health is more important than anything else. I'm glad for your update.

Best wishes to your business affairs!

All the Best,
yours as loyal reader

P.S. Come back as soon as possible, you are too much uniquely useful!

Hey Mike,
best wishes for everything!!! keep it up!
You've managed to create a faithfull community of avid and afficionate readers (film makers, video pros, and movie people wannabes in general) who have come to wait, study, research and, all in all, RESPECT on all the great info You publish on Your blog. In my book that's no small feat!!!
I hope you're going to sort everything out real soon!!!
All the best and thanks for all the great info and insight You've blogged so far!!!!

Luca

Best of luck with the business stuff, Mike. I hope it all works out for the best. Thanks for all the great information on the blog.

Cheers,

Josh

Good luck to you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come back soon, we miss you!

I hope the message posted above about Mike being sued off blogging is a hoax. Being a hobby videographer and working as a lawyer in the entertainment industry, I would readily offer my services pro bono just to get my daily fix of HD4NDs back, but unless the opposition's coming from Germany, I'm afraid I'll be of little help...

KR, Jan-Peter Ewert

Thanks for the update, Mike. Glad to know YOU are OK :)

Take your time to get things in order. We will be here :)

All the best Mike.

hang in there dude. really hope it all works out for you.

i find myself actually reading the Mac RSS screensaver to fill the void (and it doesn't suffice).

Good luck in solving your problems. Your blogging is a big asset to us HD junkies...

Good feeling and good luck to you Mike, hope things are on the up.

Whew! I was starting to get worried. I have a habit of checking hdforindies first thing in the morning (even before checking email). I get a sick feeling (withdrawls?) when I don't see any new posts. If you do need a lawyer for some reason, you should set up a donation - The Save HD4ND's Fund!

Curran

Aye on the Fund... if everyone gave Mike 5% of what they earned using knowledge acquired on HD4NDs, he'd probably have a pretty hefty chunk of cash.

Bruce Allen

Like everyone else I have been checking in with Mike everyday for months and didn't realize until now how much I count on someone I barely know.

Mike, whatever is going on in your life (none of our business) I wish you well and look forward to your return.

All the best,

Laurence

Just wanted to echo the sentiments of all and to wish you the best.

God speed!

Tim

He Lives!

I've gotten my stuff straightened out, getting ready to start blogging again.

-mike

Woo hoo! Can't wait! Withdrawal has been awful!

yeehaa
welcome back Mike!
