And it looks like it has extensive bug fixes for 5.0.4 to 5.1 for the PPC version. I wonder if Apple will release a PPC only upgrade or do we all need to get this upgrade to get the .1 updates? I don't like having to send in all of my Final Cut Pro Studio Discs to get an upgrade. I would rather have an upgrade downloadable and purchase the next version of FCP to be universal since I have a PPC mac for now and the time being.
You can see the bug fixes in apple's PDF at http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/Final_Cut_Pro_5.0_lbn_z.pdf

Was I unaware until now or has this crossgrade always been available for $199 to FCP 4 Upgrade and FCP HD Upgrade owners (meaning the original full-install disc is FCP 1, 2, or 3)? In the FCP_HD4 upgrade info the FCP 4/HD Upgrade discs are listed as being available for the $199 upgrade to FCS 5.1. I thought that previously to upgrade to FCS 5.0 the cost was $699. So has this crossgrade always included the Upgrade owners or is it something new since the release yesterday?
Hey those are actually really welcome bug fixes. I'm also keen on the option to always reconnect media.
A patch for PPC would be really, really welcome since I don't have an Intel-based Mac and won't for a while. I suppose they could still do a PPC only patch later but who knows? It could have to do with NAB announcements and the timing of the FCP Studio 6.

I got my shipping confirmation for the FCP stuido crossgrade today. I can't wait to see what it does on my MBP.
