Mike,
Given finalized SATA 6Gb/s standard is now in hand, by the time even the earliest 225/500 cam is released to the public, there should be either single or RAID SSD's that can handle that data rate. Much slower data rates and capacities of CF referred to by Adam Wilt is not a viable recording medium for such newer Red cams.
Samsung is currently in 'mass' production of a 256GB SDD spec'd (not tested yet) 220/200MB/s R/W. By the end of 2009 or early 2010, would expect 512GB SSD's SATA 3.0 (6Gb/s) ready that surpass SATA 3Gb/s throughput.

Also, are you serious about that 2.5x IMAX sensor being a handleheld? With R! fully outfitted @40lbs, doubt any 617 sensor that size could be made to be handheld by anyone less than the Terminator :D Perhaps you're thinking about the 645 format?
