CHART OF THE DAY: In Case You Had Any Doubts About Where Apple's Revenue Comes From

CHART OF THE DAY: In Case You Had Any Doubts About Where Apple's Revenue Comes From

Note where Final Cut falls in the pantheon.

Note Apple's complete and utter lack of presence at NAB, even when they released new laptops during the show.

We Are Not A Priority.
Comments:
FCP is just a small sliver of revenue but it requires a Mac to run it. In order to sell more Macs, Apple will continue to develop FCP. I would think a significant amount of Mac sales are from us.

...and Avid users and Premiere Pro users... Is Final Cut Pro worth the long term investment? Maybe. Will they rewrite the code dating back to 1995? Maybe. Is it as important focusing on iPhone and iPad sales in the oncoming Android battle? Not any time soon.

Apple also no longer participates in MacWorld. Nor does it participate in CES.

Apple has no need to participate in various expositions. It can do its own shows, on its own time.
